Students receiving Title I Rainbow Reading services will attend class with Mrs. Connie Shaffer or Mrs. Lora Schafer. We both have a Masters in Reading and are highly qualified according to NCLB regulations. We work closely with classroom teachers to coordinate instruction and provide supplemental reading in a small group setting of no more than 5 students per group. In our classrooms, we use a variety of instructional practices and materials to meet the needs of our students. Students are monitored through DIBELS progress monitoring every other week and the DRA (Developmental Reading Assessment) to assess student progress. We work hard to communicate regularly with our parents and attend classroom conferences. We feel privileged to work with your child.
